The approach

One brief.
One team.
One system.

Nothing we build is a picture. A site, an app or an agent is a system people have to find, understand and trust, so design, code, content and search cannot arrive as separate hand-offs.

We keep them in one room, under one brief, until the experience looks right and works as one thing. That is what premium actually costs, and what it buys.

What we found

We audited 35 independent businesses. Almost none of them could be read by a machine.

Local businesses in Surrey and Hampshire, August 2026. Every figure is a property of the pages themselves, measured the same way, and verifiable with view-source. No estimates and no projections.

0of 35

had no structured description of the business

No LocalBusiness schema, so an assistant has to guess what the business is and where it is.

0of 35

had nothing an assistant could quote

No question-and-answer content anywhere on the page, which is the format AI answers draw from most.

0of 35

were already paying to be found

Running ad or analytics tracking, so the money is being spent. The page it points at is the weak part.

AI and agent systems

Agents that
show their work.

Most AI projects stall between the demo and the day they have to run unsupervised. We build multi-agent systems the way we build software: every agent has a role and a limit, every step leaves a record, and a person signs off on what matters.

Roles with limits
A planner cannot ship and a builder cannot approve its own work. Duties are separated in code, not requested in a prompt.
A record of every run
What was asked, what was done and what was checked, kept as evidence you can read back later.
People on the decisions
Agents research, draft and queue. Anything that spends money, sends or publishes waits for a person.
Your models, your data
Hosted models where they fit, private models on your own hardware where the data cannot leave.

    Frequently asked questions

    Straight answers,
    before you ask.

    What does Studio42 do?

Studio42 is a design and engineering studio in London. We design and build websites, web and mobile apps, and AI and multi-agent systems, then make them visible in search engines and AI assistants. Strategy, design, engineering and search sit on one brief, with one team.

What is the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?

SEO (search engine optimisation) helps a site rank in search results. AEO (answer engine optimisation) structures its content so assistants and search features can quote it as a direct answer. GEO (generative engine optimisation) makes the business clear and credible enough to be cited when an AI model writes a response. They overlap, so we build for all three from the start rather than retrofitting them after launch.

Do you build AI agents and multi-agent systems?

Yes. We build multi-agent systems, AI features inside products, and automations that research, draft and queue work. Every agent gets a defined role and limits, every run leaves a record, and anything that spends money, sends or publishes waits for a person to approve it.

Can you work with the website or product we already have?

Usually that is where we start. We look at what is already there: what it says, how it is built, and what search engines and AI assistants can read from it. Then we tell you whether it needs improving or rebuilding.

    How is a project priced?

It depends on scope. We quote once we understand what you need, and larger products and agent systems start with a short discovery phase, so the quote rests on real requirements rather than a guess.

    What happens after launch?

We can stay on for ongoing care: maintenance, security updates, analytics, search improvements and content updates, so the site or product keeps improving instead of slowly going stale.

    A better first conversation

    Show us the site.
    Or the idea.

Send the site you have and we will look at it properly: how it is built, what it says, and what search engines and AI assistants can actually read from it. Building something new? Leave the website blank and tell us about it. Either way, a person replies, usually the same day.
